The Austin Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a suspect involved in the overnight stabbing in Austin on Sunday that left five people injured. 24-year-old Tony Dwayne Walker is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second degree felony.
According to APD, first responders were called to the Fairway Apartment Complex on Sunday, July 2, 2017 for a fight where multiple people were fighting in the parking lot. When officers arrived on scene, they found multiple people with injuries including a man, Darrius Wilson, that had been stabbed multiple times.
Wilson was taken to Dell Seton Hospital. According to officials, he suffered 17 punctures to his body.
During their investigation, officers learned that the son of Wilson's girlfriend had his phone stolen earlier that same day. Wilson's girlfriend used a cell phone app to track the phone down and it led her to 'Slim' Madison.
Madison frequents the complex but doesn't live there himself.
Wilson's girlfriend confronted Madison and the two verbally fought in about the phone before going their separate ways. According to witnesses, two cars came into the complex later and several people got out of each car, including Madison, holding poles and sticks.
Madison and a second male, believed to be Tony Walker, attacked Wilson and a group of females attacked Wilson's girlfriend.
According to witnesses, Wilson was pinned on a car while both Madison and Walker stabbed him.
