Suspect arrested for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon

ACLU-DC asks for minimal police presence during portion of policing, public safety community meeting

A 21-year-old Round Rock man was arrested on a charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. . The Cedar Ridge High School nearby was briefly placed on locked down but reopened at about 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 6. 

According to police, 21-year-old Kahli Tyre McQuitty was booked into the Williamson County Jail.

Dispatch for the Round Rock Police Department received a 911 call about shots-fired around 7:41 a.m. Thursday morning in the 2500 block of Louis Henna Blvd. Cedar Ridge High School nearby was briefly locked down but reopened at about 8:30 a.m. 

During the course of their investigation, officers learned that shortly after one man drove into the apartment complex at that address, he was robbed at gunpoint by another man.

A third man was injured in the incident and was listed in stable condition on Thursday. 

The incident is under investigation.
