Trader Joe’s is expected to open more stores in the coming year.
The national grocery store announced plans to grow its presence by opening more than two dozen additional stores across several states, expanding on the company’s earlier development plans.
Trader Joe’s expanding with dozens of new locations
The company announced on Tuesday that it will open nine additional stores, bringing the total slate of stores now in development to 25.
What they're saying:
"We are proud to be joining the neighborhood, and to continue our commitment to providing nourishment to the surrounding communities through our Neighborhood Shares program," the company said on its website announcing the news.

FOX Local reached out to Trader Joe’s for comment.
"Since Trader Joe’s began in 1967, we have been in growth mode," a spokesperson for Trader Joe's told FOX Local. "Some years we grow more than other years, and our goal is always to bring delicious products at great values to as many people and neighborhoods as we can. The best way to do that is to open more stores."

New Trader Joe’s stores will open across 14 states.
The nine new locations across eight states include:
- Arizona: Phoenix (21001 North Tatum Boulevard, Suite 1030)
- Florida: Sarasota (8199 S Tamiami Trail, Unit 100)
- Illinois: Chicago (804 West Montrose Ave.)
- Massachusetts: Quincy (111 General McConville Way)
- Michigan: Farmington Hills (27658 Middlebelt Rd.)
- New York: Syracuse (3515 West Genesee St.)
- New York: Yonkers (2482 Central Park Ave.)
- Ohio: University Heights (2643 Warrensville Center Rd.)
- Utah: West Jordan (5561 W 7800 S.)
The other 16 previously announced locations include:

What we don't know:
While all locations have been identified, the stores’ opening dates remain to be determined.
Trader Joe’s known for private-label products, customer service
Big picture view:
The chain’s first-ever store, launched in 1967, is in Pasadena, California.
Trader Joe’s is famous for its eclectic product mix, affordable prices and upbeat customer service.

According to the most recent American Customer Satisfaction Index, a widely-followed nonprofit that crunches data from about 41,000 shoppers in a dozen or so retail categories, Trader Joe’s ranked first place among grocers.
The chain currently operates stores across 42 states and the District of Columbia.
States currently without a Trader Joe’s location include Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, West Virginia and Wyoming.
