UT Austin to hold International Space Station Day April 25

AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - The University of Texas at Austin will be hosting NASA and the International Space Station National Lab's Destination Station traveling exhibit as well as a talk and Q&A with astronaut and UT Austin alumna Stephanie Wilson on Thursday, April 25.
The event, hosted by UT Austin's Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, is free and open to the public and will feature a mobile exhibit and presentations highlighting life onboard the International Space Station.
The "Driven to Explore" Mobile Exhibit will be parked in front of UT Austin's Aerospace Engineering Building from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The exhibit is a multimedia experience designed to immerse participants in the story of NASA and of the ISS. Activities within the exhibit include touching a moon rock, pictures with an astronaut and pictures inside Extra Vehicular Activity (EVA) suits.
UT Austin alumna and astronaut Stephanie Wilson will be hosting a talk and Q&A inside the ASE building from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. about living and conduction research on the ISS. Preceding her talk will be a 30-minute presentation on the ISS and how the research performed onboard helps benefit life on Earth.
