Emergency crews were out for several hours in an Austin neighborhood working to fix a water main break, which caused a lot of traffic delays.

The incident caused Koenig Lane near Woodrow Avenue, which is between Burnet Road and North Lamar Boulevard, to be shut down for several hours. A neighbor living close by called 911 when she heard the water main break. It happened around 4 a.m. Thursday.

For nearly four hours water was spraying into the air 40 to 60 feet.

Michelle Hunter lives right across the street from it. She said this isn't the first time her house has been affected by water.

"This is the third time, two floods in the last two years. My whole backyard was flooded, the shed, my 1972 corvette was back there. I just got it back from restoration, so yeah, have to do a little more restoration," Hunter said.

A lot of the buildings along the road are businesses. Not only were they affected by the water, but by their everyday workflow.
