Dell Children's opens pediatric cardiac care unit
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Dell Children’s Medical Center is celebrating its new pediatric cardiac care unit, a part of the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease.
The 24-bed inpatient unit includes State-of-the-art technology and will be the first and only dedicated pediatric cardiac care unit in Central Texas.
As a result, more infants, children, adolescents and adults diagnosed with congenital and acquired heart conditions will be able to receive the most advanced care close to home.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 25 to celebrate the opening of the first dedicated pediatric cardiac care unit in Central Texas. The Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, is a focused pediatric and congenital heart program leveraging the power of the partnership between Dell Children’s, Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin and UT Health Austin, the clinical practice of Dell Med.
