Safety Stand Down Week
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - This week marks Safety Stand Down Week, a time for drivers out there to be reminded to be careful when they see firefighters and emergency crews responding to incidents.
The week was organized by the International Association of Fire Chiefs and the National Volunteer Fire Council.
Drivers are asked to move over and slow down for emergency crews and to put away their cell phones and avoid taking pictures.
