4-year-old girl killed in RV trailer fire in Spicewood

A 4-year-old girl was killed in a trailer fire in Spicewood, officials said.

What happened?

The backstory:

According to Burnet County ESD 9 - Spicewood Fire Rescue, on Wednesday, Jan. 22, around 4:18 p.m., first responders were dispatched to Deerpath Way in Spicewood for a RV trailer fire.

When firefighters responded, they found the RV fully engulfed, and a 4-year-old girl was trapped inside. 

The girl and her parents were taken to a local hospital, but the girl later died from her injuries.

The State Fire Marshal's Office and Burnet County Sheriff's Office are assisting in the investigation of the fire.

What we don't know:

The cause of the fire was not reported.
