Austin Trail of Lights returns for 51st year with new additions
This year's Trail of Lights is adding some new things to its old favorites for the more than 400,000 people expected to attend the event from December 8-22.
A few highlights for 2015:
- The North Pole will have photos at Santa's House, the Ferris wheel, a book give-away and an interactive Santa's Workshop where visitors can create their own holiday videos to share
- Armadillo Alley will feature a new Groovy Grove and will include letters to Santa, as well as arts and crafts near the stage that will feature more than 60 local performance groups
- Candy Land
- The Yule Log
- Replica of the iconic 360 Pennybacker Bridge has been added to Trim-a-Tree Grove

Tuesday, Dec. 8 - Grand Opening
Wednesday, Dec. 9 - Heroes Night
Friday, Dec. 11 - The University of Texas Night
