Celebrating the new year in Austin
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Celebrations will be going on all over Central Texas to ring in the new year.
One that's expected to draw big crowds is Austin's New Year. It's an alcohol-free celebration with entertainment for the entire family.
The festival will showcase a variety of art, food trucks and live music from more than a dozen bands on three stages at Vic Mathias Shores (formerly Auditorium Shores).
The event starts at 3 p.m. on New Year's Eve and ends with a fireworks finale at 10 p.m. The event is pet-friendly, but you're encouraged to take pets home before the fireworks.
