Family seeks answers after loved one shot dead in North Austin
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Ernest Allen feels left in the dark after his younger brother Eric Allen was shot dead in his home on December 23rd.
Police were called to Eric Allen’s home in the 12500 block of Rampart Street around 12:30 p.m. When officers arrived they found Allen inside with a gunshot wound. Emergency crews tried to save his life, but it was too late Allen died before he could be taken to the hospital.
There were several people in the home during the shooting, a woman and two children. APD the woman was cooperating with investigators at the time.
No arrests have been made since.
Allen's will be laid to rest on Saturday but Ernest said the family will not rest until the person responsible for Allen’s death is behind bars. "We just need answers you know I really need to know what happened to my brother," Ernest Allen said. "I need some kind of closure some kind of justice."
APD could not comment on the investigation because it is ongoing.
