FOX-7 Discussion: President admits Donald Trump Jr. had a meeting to get Information on Opponent

AUSTIN, Texas - President Trump is changing his story about a 2016 meeting at Trump Tower.

In reference to his son meeting with a Russian lawyer, he wrote on twitter.

"This was a meeting to get information on an opponent, totally legal and done all the time in politics - and it went nowhere.I did not know about it!"

At first, the meeting was said to be about a Russian adoption program. then, emails showed Trump Jr. telling an associate he would quote "love" Russia’s help in obtaining negative details about then presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. There was also a question of how many people attended the meeting.

FOX-7 Austin’s Mike Warren talked to Gary Teal, the Travis county Republican party executive director, and Tariq Thowfeek, communications director with the Texas Democratic party about the president admitting that his son Donald Trump Jr. had a meeting with a Russian lawyer to get dirt on Hillary Clinton.
