The Hi, How Are You Project has announced that Hi, How Are You Day will be returning to Austin next year.

The third annual HHAY Day will be held at ACL Live at the Moody Theatre on January 22, 2020.

The HHAY Project is a non-profit named after late artist and musician Daniel Johnston. The organization was formed to educate and create open discussions about mental health.

All proceeds from the event will go back to the organization and their mission to use research, events, and training programs to generate new conversations about mental illnesses. "This year's Hi How Are You Day will have special significance as it's the first event since Daniel's passing. Many of the artists who will be performing have a long and close history with Daniel and his music,” said Tom Gimbel, longtime manager for Daniel Johnston and Co-Founder of the Hi, How Are You Project.
