Hurricane Harvey made landfall on the Texas coast Friday evening as a Category 4 storm, it has since weakened into a Tropical Storm.

Though it's been downgraded the public should not let their guard down. The Austin area has already seen some effects from the hurricane and rain is expected to continue.

FOX 7's Scott Fisher says the Austin area expects some heavy rains overnight Saturday and flood threats along the Colorado river Sunday and Monday. As of Sunday morning, Camp Mabry reported about 6.5 inches and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport recorded around 8.5 inches in the last five days.
