FLATONIA, Texas - Across Central Texas, supporters of President Donald Trump got together Monday to watch him take the oath of office, including at Trump Burger in Flatonia.
The Trump-centric eatery opened this past Election Day and features themed food and drinks and memorabilia.
What they're saying:
"This is a turning point. So we're excited. We want to celebrate that," said Susan Steinhauser.
Among those at the inaugural watch party were Kathryn and Dennis Gessaman—who actually had tickets to attend the ceremony in Washington, but got some bad news when it was moved indoors.
"Got an email saying, 'hey, all those are wonderful tickets, but they're canceled'," said Kathryn Geesaman. "We're like, really? We just spent all that money."
Donald Trump sworn-in as president
Chief Justice John Roberts swears in Donald Trump as the 47th president of the United States.
So, they decided this party was the next best thing.
"I said we'll just go to Trump Burger and watch it here," said Kathryn Geesaman.
Local perspective:
As supporters watched Trump's inaugural address, FOX 7 asked them about their hopes for a second term.
"It actually feels really great hearing everything that Trump is planning on doing," said Veronica Torres.
"I'd say the border and the economy," said Dennis Geesaman.

"We are from small little southern towns. It has to be about him bringing oil back," said Torres.
