Local organizations help those in need for Thanksgiving

AUSTIN, Texas - Associate Minister at Bethany Christian Church James Craft and CEO of El Buen Samaritano Rosa Maria Murillo were at two separate locations over the weekend but they were working towards the same goal.

Craft and his team were out on East 12th Street and they were able to provide about 130 meals.

Murillo and her team were on Woodhue Drive and she says that nearly two out of 10 Central Texans face food insecurity on a daily basis. She says that bringing awareness while alleviating food insecurity brings her a lot of joy this time of year.
