Dripping Springs residents are saying someone has been stealing money out of their mailboxes -- and it turns out the person responsible was the one who was supposed to be delivering the mail.
A representative for the Postal Service Office of the Inspector General confirmed with FOX 7 the subject of their investigation is a postal contractor who "no longer has access" to the U.S. mail.
Residents told FOX 7 by e-mail, after sending in numerous complaints to the post office, postal inspectors ended up catching the worker on video using a gift card that had been deliberately planted in a mailbox.
The IG's office says the investigation is ongoing.
