MetroRail to suspend service between Lakeline and Leander temporarily
Capital Metro is set to suspend MetroRail service between Lakeline and Leander for two weeks due to construction.
Capital Metro says the service will be suspended from June 15 to June 29.
MetroExpress Routes 985 and 987 will be available as alternate transit options for MetroRail riders. Cap Metro says route 985 provides weekday services between 4:50 a.m. and 10:50 p.m. between Leander, Lakeline and downtown. Route 987 provides service for UT and downtown. The cost for MetroExpress is the same as MetroRail, according to Cap Metro.
Cap Metro says there will be complementary shuttle buses for Friday nights, which is when MetroRail would usually run later in the evening. The shuttles will help customers get between the Lakeline and Leander stations. It will run on June 15, 22 and 29 from 5 p.m. to 1:25 a.m.
