Final preparations are underway for this year's annual Cooper River Bridge run in Charleston, South Carolina.

Among the hundreds of runners participating, there's one in particular who should stick out.

After all, she's wearing a full nun's habit.

Equipped with running shoes and a rosary, Sister Mary Beth Lloyd geared up for the annual 10K.

She usually runs in bigger races like 50, 60, and even 100 miles long.

Lloyd says she runs to spread awareness of her cause, Orphans Rising.

"The joy of being out here to tell 38,000 people that the children in Ethiopia need their help – can't beat that," she said.

Since 1994, the "nun on the run" has participated in races in all 50 states.
