Places to celebrate New Year's Eve in Austin
AUSTIN, Texas - Looking for a place to ring in the new year? There's several places around Austin that are having special events whether you're looking to party or just grab a bite to eat.
W Austin

The hotel is holding what it says is its most lavish party of the year by recreating the extravagant galas and post parties of Marie Antoninette. There'll be food from TRACE as well as cocktails and some risqué burlesque. More info and tickets here.
Gibson Street Bar
The South Lamar bar is already decorated for the holidays and offering holiday themed drinks and you can ring in 2020 there too. For $150 guests can reserve a booth for up to 6 people, for $75 guests can reserve outside tables for up to 4 people and for $50 guests can reserve an inside table for 2. There will be a champagne toast at midnight and reservations over $100 will get a complimentary bottle of champagne. Get more details here.
Star Bar
For $50 people can reserve a four top table which includes a complimentary bottle of champagne and party favors at the bar on West 6th Street that's known for its bloody marys, football watch parites and Schaller's Stube Sausage Bar. More info here.
Lavaca Rock Rose
If you want to avoid downtown crowds you can head to this spot in The Domain where there'll be a DJ and $25 champagne bottles with a $10 cover after 9 p.m.
Uchi
The restaurant will offer a special New Year’s Eve Omakase with 10 courses meant for two people sharing. Tables are reservation only but small party walk-ins can enjoy full service dining at the sushi and wine bar. Guests dining at midnight will receive a complimentary glass of sparkling wine.
SPIN Austin
The ping pong destination is hosting a party starting at 10 p.m. For $15, guests get a welcome cocktail, live DJ, communal ping pong games, a midnight toast and surprise performance. The last 50 people standing at the end of the night will receive a hangover kit that includes all the tools needed for the morning after including CYL Sauna Studio discount cards to sweat out the alcohol, O’Dweed’s premium CBD hemp flower joints to fight nausea, coconut and sparkling and juice waters to re-hydrate.
Eberly

Ring in the New Year with a Disco Revival-themed bash inspired by Studio54. Guests will receive access to four rooms with an assortment of entertainment like aerialists and roller skating '70s dance numbers; bites and desserts from Eberly’s executive chef, Jo Chan, and pastry chef, Sarah Seghi; bubbly toast at midnight; and more surprises throughout the night. Guests are encouraged to dress in their fanciest disco attire for a chance to claim the title of Best Dressed and win an Eberly gift card along with other disco themed prizes. Tickets to the event are $100 and are available for purchase in advance of the event online.
Café Josie
On December 31st, the Clarksville restaurant will be serving a four course menu designed by executive chef Todd Havers, with the additional option of wine pairings to add to each dish. The menu boasts plates like red wine braised short rib, seared Chilean sea bass, and scallop sashimi. Dessert options include chocolate beet cake and foie crème. Andiamo Ristorante
To celebrate "Anno Nuovo", the North Austin Italian spot is hosting a special New Year's Eve dinner. The five course prix fixe menu includes dishes like lobster tortellini, saffron and black truffle linguine, and veal ossobuco, with optional wine pairings for each course. Guests will be treated to live music by Chris Devore. Dinner is $120 per person/$150 per person with wine pairings. You can make a reservation here.
Old Thousand
The East side restaurant will be serving their usual menu of "dope Chinese" from 5 - 10 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Favorites include the Char Siu Pork Belly, Mongolian Beef, and Brisket Fried Rice. They will also be pouring their limited-time menu of winter cocktails, like the Winter Hideout (aged rum, chai-infused rum, lime, pineapple, coconut, creme de banane, bitters) and the French Seven-Tea-Five (gin, lemon, yuzu, buttered pear rooibos). L'Oca d'Oro

Celebrate the end of the year with an 80’s inspired 6-course meal at L’Oca d’Oro. Each course will be inspired by a popular 80’s hip hop song, such as Biz Markie’s “Nobody Beats The Biz,” Big Daddy Kane’s “Ain’t No Half Steppin’” and more. Menu subject to change, but guests can look forward to dishes like Sea Urchin Crudo a la Dorsia with Avocado and Ligurian Olive Oil; Orange Chicken Lollipops with Satsuma Caramel and Sesame Seed; and Dried-Aged Wagyu Prime Rib with “Truffled” Steak Fries, Creamed Spigiarello and Horseradish Cream.

She's Not Here
New Year's Eve is the last night to experience the Old Thousand kitchen take over at She's Not Here. Along with festive holiday decor and an abbreviated menu of Old Thousand Chinese favorites like chili wontons, kung pao cauliflower and General Tso's chicken, guests can enjoy dishes exclusive to the pop up like Silk Road glazed ribs and spicy peanut dan dan noodles. They will also be serving their Naughty List cocktails like the Heat Miser (Heritage BSB 103 Bourbon, allspice dram, apple cider, lemon, Hellfire bitters) and The Gold Room (Western Grace Brandy, vanilla, honey, egg, nutmeg). Revelry On The Boulevard
The restaurant and bar will be serving an a la carte menu of New Year's Eve specials including Hoppin John's Fritters, Hamachi Crudo, and Duck Carnitas.

Revelry Kitchen + Bar
The East side spot will be hosting a New Year's Eve party featuring music by DJ KidGorilla. Party goers will enjoy a midnight champagne toast and balloon drop, plus no cover charge for the event.
Corner Bar
The South Lamar neighborhood bar's New Year's festivities include a midnight balloon drop and champagne toast, plus no cover charge for the event.
B.D. Riley's
The pub located at 1905 Aldrich Street Suite 130 will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. No reservations are needed as well as no cover charge. Full menu service will be available from 11 a.m. to midnight. Guests can look forward to live music by Paul Lemond and “The 7-10 Splits” and complimentary party favors to ring in the New Year.
The Thinkery
There will be a Noon Years Eve Balloon Drop and Bubble Wrap Stomp in light of New Year’s Eve. Guests can attend one of the two sessions, the morning session from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., or the afternoon session from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
Juniper
To ring in the new year, Juniper will be hosting a five course pre-fixe dinner with three or four different options per course. The cost is $85. Within the options per course, Juniper offers a “ball out” with options ranging from a smoked duck breast salta to a koji cured ranger cattle rib roast. Smaller plates include options of a salad of winter brassicas with preserved lemon and maple; and a roasted fennel gratin with Tuscan kale and crispy sunchokes. For the main entrees, choices include a classic cacio e pepe and a roasted cobb creek chicken breast with beluga lentil ragu.
