Police: Woman stole $7,000 worth of ginseng
DULUTH, Ga. - An elaborate heist lands a 70-year-old woman behind bars. That is according to Duluth Police who said the woman stole more than $7,000 worth of ginseng from a man back in October.
Police said Young Lee was for the crime. Investigators said Lee had her accomplice pose as a customer and place an order for 20 pounds of ginseng. But when they met in a parking lot to complete the transaction, police said the accomplice grabbed the ginseng and took off.
Police eventually linked the crime to Lee.
She was released on bond shortly after her arrest.
