The recall covers Ola-Ola Pounded Yam that was sold between December 2025 and May 2026 in multiple U.S. states: California, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and Texas, as well as Canada and Australia, according to the recall notice.

The backstory:

The recalled bags contain milk in the form of sodium caseinate, but the allergen is not noted on the label, the FDA explained.

The producer, Fayus Inc., doing business as Yusol International Foods (Sacramento, CA), stated that an internal investigation attributed the cause to a breakdown between the company’s production and packaging arms.
