Pregnant Black woman shot with non-lethal force by Austin police calls for accountability

Saraneka Martin, a pregnant Black woman who was shot with non-lethal force by Austin police, is calling for accountability.

Martin says she believes she was shot in the stomach with a rubber bullet. She says she was dragged onto the ground by Austin police while she was peacefully protesting with her husband.

She's holding a news conference at 2 p.m. to share her experience and is calling for the Austin Police Department, and other institutions that she says failed her, to be held accountable.
