Protests planned for Donald Trump's visit

Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump will kick off his visit to Austin with an appearance at Austin City Limits.

The two hour event, hosted by Fox News’ Sean Hannity is open to the public, on a first come first serve basis. Doors open at 1:00 PM, the event starts at four o’clock.

From there, Mr. Trump will head to a fundraiser at the Headliners Club. His final stop will be a rally at the Travis County Expo Center, Luedecke Arena. Doors open at 4:30 Tuesday afternoon, the event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM.

The Travis County Democratic Party is planning a day of protests to coincide with Mr. Trump’s visit. The “Love Trumps Hate Day of Action” will begin at 11:30 A.M. at the Austin’s AFL-CIO Headquarters, 1106 Lavaca Street. A group of elected officials and community leaders will come together to speak about Mr. Trump’s political agenda.

Also at the AFL-CIO headquarters, from 11:15 A.M.-1:30 P.M., volunteers with the TCDP will be calling on behalf of the Democratic party, to drum up support for Democratic Presidential Nominee Hillary Clinton.

From 2:00-4:00PM, the group plans on protesting outside of the A.C.L. theater and will then follow Mr. Trump to his fundraiser to protest outside of the Headliners Club from 4:30-6:00PM.
