AUSTIN, Texas - The 51-day dry spell is over, and now it is time for a rainy streak.
For the second straight day, rain is falling all across the area. Some areas are expected to see between 1-2 inches.
Severe weather is unlikely, but lightning and localized flooding may occur.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for San Saba County until 7:15 p.m.

Rain ends long dry spell in Austin-area, more expected

Liberty Hill dust devil spotted
A dust devil was spotted in Liberty Hill by viewer Michael McCluskey on August 18.
Rain activity is expected to dismiss by late Friday evening.
This weekend will not be as rainy as Thursday and Friday, but we will slide into another cooler and rainy weather pattern next week.
