Suspect arrested in North Austin homicide
The Austin Police Department has arrested Bradford Gunn for the murder of Jose Angel Moreno in North Austin.
Bradford Gunn, Black male, 29 years age was arrested on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 after a SWAT standoff on Sugar Hill Dr. He has been charged with First Degree Felony Murder and is currently in the Travis County Jail with a $500,000 bond.
On Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 3:34 a.m., Austin Police Officers responded to a shooting in the block North IH-35 service road southbound. Upon arrival, officers located a male lying in a pool of blood. He was pronounced deceased at 3:46 a.m.
The deceased has been identified as Jose Angel Moreno, a Hispanic male.
An autopsy was performed by the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office and the manner of death was ruled homicide.
