Suspect wanted for at least 3 Dallas sex assaults

DALLAS - Dallas police are trying to find a man believed to be connected to at least three sexual assaults in the city.

The most recent attack happened Tuesday afternoon at the Wildflower Apartments on Pineland Drive in northeast Dallas.

Dallas Police Department’s Deputy Chief Thomas Castro said a man suspect knocked on a woman’s door and asked for work. He then pushed his way inside her apartment, displayed a weapon and sexually assaulted her.

The two other cases happened in September at apartment complexes on Dallas Parkway and Montfort Drive. The two are about a mile away from each other.

In both cases, the victims said a young black male knocked on their door around mid-morning. He asked for either a donation or work and then he pushed his way inside to rape them.

Deputy Chief Castro said detectives believe the same man committed all three crimes.

He’s described as a black male in his late teens who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 140 pounds. He has a box-fade haircut and a mark on his wrist.

In the most recent case, the suspect was wearing black pants, a black t-shirt with red and white numbers on the front and a black jacket.

Deputy Chief Castro asked people in the area to be on the lookout for anyone who matches the description or looks suspicious roaming around the area. He also reminded women to use caution when opening the door for strangers.

“This goes for anybody. When someone knocks on your door, make sure you know who’s out there and kind of what they want,” he said.

Carlos Fitzpatrick lives in the area. He’s never seen the man, but has been keeping an eye out.

“Doesn’t surprise me but it surprises me someone is so blatant at doing this,” he said.

Police said no information from the public is too small or unimportant.

“Please call, let my detectives take that information, and vet it,” Deputy Chief Castro said. “It may turn into nothing but it may be that lead that moves these cases in the right direction.”
