(Wikipedia)

The Texas State Capitol and the Capitol Extension will be closed to the public, all day, June 25 and 26.

The Texas Facilities Commission and the State Preservation Board will be performing scheduled maintenance on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26. The comprehensive utility maintenance will leave the building with no restroom or other services for our visitors.

For those wishing to experience a bit of Texas history while the Capitol is closed, can visit the Capitol Visitors Center. It is located on the southeast grounds of the Capitol and will be open regular hours both Saturday and Sunday.

The Bullock Texas State History Museum, located at 1800 North Congress Avenue will be open regular hours. To learn more about the Bullock Texas State History Museum, click here
