Thundercloud Subs Turkey Trot 2017

This is the 27th year for the Thundercloud Subs Turkey Trot in Austin.

It's considered the largest five-mile run in Texas with 20,000 runners and walkers and over 600 volunteers.

If running really isn't your thing, they also offer a mile-long walk and a kids fun run for the little ones.

Money raised from the trot benefits Caritas of Austin, which helps to end homelessness and poverty in the capital city. Last year, Thundercloud was pleased to present Caritas with a $330,000 check to aid the less fortunate of our community.

That breaks down to a little over $16 per participant, proving that a little bit goes a long way. Keep in mind, there will be plenty of road closures around the event. It’s best to avoid the area.
