AUSTIN, Texas - Drivers, be prepared. A section of I-35 will be closed overnight.
The highway will be closed between St. Elmo Road and Stassney Lane, according to the Austin Police Department. The direct connection ramps from SH-71, both eastbound and westbound, to IH-35 will also be closed.
The closure is planned from 10 p.m. on Thursday, October 31 to 5 a.m. on Friday, November 1.
Traffic will be forced to exit via Stassney Lane (Exit 229), according to police.
Drivers should seek alternate routes and avoid the area during this time period.
