Travis County Grand Jury indicts a former Travis County Corrections Officer
A Travis County Grand Jury indicted a former Travis County Corrections Officer for tampering with evidence & making a false report.
Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg today announced that a Travis County Grand Jury indicted former Travis County Corrections Officer Dustin D’Amalfi for tampering with physical evidence and false report to peace officer for events that occurred subsequent to a cell extraction of then-inmate Dacious Parker at the Travis County Correctional Complex in Del Valle on July 25th, 2015.
Tampering with physical evidence is a third degree felony punishable by 2 to 10 years in prison and a fine not to exceed $10,000. False report to peace officer is a class B misdemeanor punishable by confinement in jail for a term not to exceed 180 days and a fine not to exceed $2,000.
Because these are pending cases, no documents will be released and the District Attorney’s Office will have no further comment.
