The Travis County Medical Examiner's Office is one step closer to becoming a sobriety center. Travis County commissioners approved the creation of a so-called "drunk tank".
City officials say it will help save money.
Commissioners also approved an Austin police sub-station which APD says will help get officers back on the streets more quickly.
The Medical Examiner's Office plans to move out of its current facility in 2017.
