Williamson County sheriff to be guest at SOTU

Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody will be a guest at the State of the Union on Tuesday night. 

Congressman John Carter announced he would be bringing the sheriff to the nation's capital for the event. 

"I'm pleased to welcome Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody as my guest to President Trump's State of the Union," said Congressman Carter in a written statement. "Law enforcement officers, like Sheriff Chody, put their lives on the line every day. It's no secret that the rhetoric and policies that come out of Washington have a great impact on their jobs. They deserve our utmost support, and the resources to stay safe and do their job effectively."  

Chody said he was honoroed to have the oppotunity to go and mentioned he would be posting several photos and videos on social media.
