There will be 17 bands playing 1-2 songs each and Black Fret will award a total of $250,000 to 20 Austin acts. Sydney Wright is one of this year's nominees and performs a song she wrote with fellow nominee Superfonicos.

The African Children's Choir returns to Good Day Austin to perform live. The choir was started in 1984 to help people see a better picture of the African child. The choir has now expanded to 5 different African countries and provides education to the children. So far it has educated more than 52,000 children.
