It's been a very warm start to February, and we have the potential to see record heat today, but then some big changes are on the way.
AUSTIN - The warm weather to start February will continue on Saturday, but cold fronts are on the way.
Saturday forecast: Warm, Muggy Day
What we know:
Temperatures are expected to reach the 80s on Saturday.
Winds from the south are bringing warm, moist air to Central Texas.
It will be a gray start to the day, but the sun will come out in the afternoon.
Get out there and enjoy the weather while it lasts!
What we don't know:
We know we will be warm, but will it break a record?
We will be flirting with record high temperatures for Feb. 8.
The record is 87 degrees, which was set in 2017.
Sunday forecast: Cooler temperatures move in
What we know:
You will make up to much cooler temperatures on Sunday when you wake up.
Temperatures are expected to stay in the 50s and low 60s for most of the day.
If you are watching the Super Bowl outside on Sunday, we would suggest grabbing a jacket.
It will be cloudy all day.
What we don't know:
There is a very slim chance that we could see some sprinkles as the cold front moves through.
Right now, we expect those chances to be about 10 percent.
Any rain would be in the early morning hours.

We expect to see some wet weather this week.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will likely see rain before we dry out on Thursday.
At this point, we expect to see about half an inch to an inch.
