African Americans and health inequity

AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - This year marks the 400th anniversary of African enslavement in America and the New York Times recently devoted an entire issue to the subject with a focus on how slavery shaped our county. Experts say centuries later there is still system racism and inequity and that includes when it comes to health care. Associate Dean for Health Equity at Dell Medical School Dr. Jewel Mullen explains.
