AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Emily Madden with H-E-B Cooking Connection makes a recipe.
The recipe is as follows:
4 cups H-E-B Fully Cooked Brisket, diced
1/2 cup Texas On the Plate Bodacious Smoky Soppin' Sauce
1 container, or 1 1/2 cups, H-E-B Diced 3 Color Peppers
1 cup diced white onion
H-E-B Queso Classic, mild, heated according to package directions
Sub or hoagie rolls
Heat large skillet over medium high heat. Add in a few tablespoons of oil and allow to heat for a few seconds.
Add in peppers and onion, cook for 3 minutes.
Add in brisket and Soppin' Sauce and reduce heat to medium.
Cook for an additional 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once brisket has heated through and everything is mixed together place a large spoonful on each roll and top with warm queso.
For added heat top off with jalapenos!
