May the 4th Be with Y'all charity event moves to new location
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - May the 4th Be with You is coming up, but here in Texas, we have May the 4th Be with Y’all. This year marks the fourth year of the charity event with a brand new location.
According to event organizer Stephanie Marlar, the event has been held at C-Boy’s Heart and Soul since the beginning, but due to demand, moved to the Highball this year.
Proceeds from the door donations and raffles go to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Central Texas. The event has raised over $9000 in three years, according to Marlar.
Bands, live auction, tattooing and burlesque performances, a costume contest, and Jedi battles will all be part of the event.
The Chula League’s Little Artist Big Artist program created some of the limited edition pieces being sold at the event with proceeds going back to the program.
The event is from 2 p.m. to midnight with family-friendly events ending at 7 p.m.
