Potential host for an earthquake
AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - Parts of Texas could be on shaky ground. A new study led by researchers at the University of Texas at Austin mapped out hundreds of fault lines in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It found that a common method used in oil and gas operations could cause those relatively stable faults to slip. Dr. Peter Hennings with the Bureau of Economic Geology at the University of Texas explains.
