Recent viral videos spark outrage over officers' techniques to detain students

ROUND ROCK, Texas-- The incident in a South Carolina classroom is familiar to one that happened in early October in Round Rock.

Video surfaced of a School Resource Officer putting a 14-year-old student in a choke-hold after a fight couldn't be broken up. The student's family has since moved to New York.

According to the Round Rock Police Department, that officer-- in the Texas incident-- has been removed from the school but is still on-duty, pending the investigation. The family is weighing their legal options. Attorney Bobby Taylor is reviewing their case. FOX 7 spoke to Taylor and former Round Rock Police Chief Tim Ryle about both cases.
