18th homicide of the year: Austin police investigating man's death

The Austin Police Department is investigating the city's 18th homicide of the year.

What we know:

Dispatchers received a 911 call at around 12:40 a.m. about a shooting near the 10900 block of Brazoria Lane.

When officers arrived, they found an adult male victim in his late 30s who had been shot and was dead.

What we don't know:

APD did not release any information about what led up to the shooting.

Officials say they believe they have leads on a suspect but at this time the suspect has not been found and no information about the suspect has been released.

Police say there is no threat to the public and that this was an isolated incident.
