A senior citizen in Minnesota is taking planking to a whole new level.

Andy Steinfeldt of Minnetonka spent Tuesday at a Jewish Community Center attempting to break the Guiness World Record for his age for holding an abdominal plank position. The 71-year-old held is position for 38 minutes, breaking the previous record of 36 minute and 58 seconds.

He had some entertainment during the planking and even cracked a smile for the cameras.

This is not the only thing he has beaten lately. Steinfeldt recently finished radiation treatments for prostate cancer as well.

He said he took on the challenge to help motivate others to overcome challenges and maintain a positive attitude.
