Children's pajamas sold on Amazon recalled over possible injury, burn hazard

Images: CPSC

Some sets of children’s pajamas sold on Amazon have been recalled over a violation of mandatory safety standards for children’s sleepwear.

Recalled items:

This recall involves Mallimoda-branded children’s pajamas.

The recalled pajama sets consist of a long-sleeved, button-up shirt with a front pocket and matching pants. The pajamas are trimmed with black piping and have black buttons. The pajama sets were sold in gray/pink, blue, gray/purple, and light green in sizes 3/4T through 13/14 years. "Cotton 100%" and care instructions are printed on the sewn-in side-seam label.

By the numbers:

About 2,100 units of the pajamas are included in the recall.

Reason for recall:

The makeup of the clothing poses a risk of serious injuries or deadly burn hazard to children as it violates mandatory safety standards set by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Sold at:

The pajama sets were sold on Amazon from May 2021 through October 2025 for about $31.

Why you should care:

The clothing could be unsafe for kids. The CPSC has certain guidelines in place to protect children from burns.

These rules require that children’s sleepwear must be flame resistant and self-extinguish if a flame from a candle, match, lighter or a similar item causes it to catch fire.

What you can do:

If you have the pajamas, you’re urged to stop using them and contact Mallimoda for a full refund.

Consumers should cut the pajama sets in half and email a photo of the destroyed garments to mallimodarecall@hotmail.com with the consumer’s name and "Recall Proof" in the subject line.
