APD investigating deadly crash in North Austin

AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department said a person was killed in a crash on Mearns Meadow Boulevard and Rutland Drive just after 1:30 Monday morning.

Two cars were involved in the wreck, according to APD.

Police said one person was pronounced dead at the scene; another was detained.

Investigators have not said what led up to the crash.
