APD: Man shot to death after argument with coworker

AUSTIN, Texas - According to the Austin Police Department, a man was shot to death by one of his coworkers. 

Around 8 p.m. Thursday night police responded to call about a man lying in the parking lot of Capitol Wright Distributing. Upon arrival, they found 41-year-old Richard Louis Scott with several gunshot wounds. Austin-Travis County EMS transported Scott to Dell Seton Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 8:25 p.m. 

After a preliminary investigation, it was determined that the incident was a result of an argument between coworkers. According to police, 22-year-old Tyree Washington turned himself in to police after a murder warrant was obtained for his arrest at approximately 3 p.m. today. 

An autopsy by the Travis County Medical Examiner's office determined Scott's official manner of death as Homicide.
