APD seeking public's help in identifying suspect in New Year's shooting at Sixth Street bar

The Austin Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a man they say is connected to a New Year's Day shooting at an East Sixth Street bar.

The Aggravated Assault Unit is investigating the incident where two people were shot at Terminal 6 at around 1:15 a.m. Jan. 1 as a result of a "disturbance inside" the bar.

Police, fire and EMS units responded to the bar and provided immediate medical aid to a man and woman who were transported to an area hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The suspect APD is looking for is described as a black man in his mid 20s to mid 30s, between 5'7" and six feet and 160 to 180 pounds, with long black dreadlocks and a trimmed beard. He was last seen wearing a multi-colored, long-sleeved shirt.
