Austin Aztex June 20 home game to help flood victims

The Austin Aztex have been training at their new temporary home field after their usual filed, House Park, was heavily damaged during the Memorial Day flooding. They also plan to donate proceeds from their June 20 home game to benefit flood victims.

For the rest of the season, the team will practice and play home games at Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex in Round Rock. Azetex CEO Rene van de Zande said the team's options to remain in downtown Austin were "very limited" and says because home games were coming up quickly the team picked Reeves because of their familiarity with the facility and its family friendly environment.

The team is also helping out the community by donating proceeds from their June 20 home game to flood victims. The game will be at 7:30 p.m. in Round Rock. Aztex coach Paul Dalglish says, "Our team has been devastated by the news of the flooding, and we want to do our part; so $1 of every person in attendance for this game will be donated to flood relief to help those who have been affected."

You can get more information and purchase tickets at the Austin Aztex website here. The team is also partnering with CapMetro to offer free rides to home games for the remainder of the season to ticket holders.
