Authorities investigate after mother brings 2 children to fire station

"What they said on the news, that we didn't want our kids, is so inaccurate," says Jasmine Jones, the woman at the center of a Child Protective Services emergency custody hearing.

Authorities are trying to determine what led Jones to bring her two young children to Houston Fire Department Station 73 on Monday. Firefighters immediately contacted the Houston Police Department and Child Protective Services.

A firefighter told Jones that her children did not qualify to be left at a fire station according to the 'Baby Moses' Law because the children must be 60 days old or younger, unharmed and safe.
