Authorities locate and identify the body of missing swimmer
Update, 7:30 P.M.
Authorities have confirmed the body found near Sculpture Falls is that of Ceazar Kainz, 24.
A body, believed to be that missing man, was found about 3:00 Tuesday afternoon in the Barton Creek Greenbelt.
The trail was closed which provided some help for while closing the search teams, but the main reason to shut off access was due to the dangerous conditions on the trail caused by recent floods.
The gate at the entrance of the Barton Creek Greenbelt is clearly marked closed. The warning stopped Norm McMasters right in his tracks.
"I expected to come down here and release some jitters I have an interview this afternoon and hiking helps."
But the sign, as well as a chain and pad lock, plus yellow police tape did not stop others from going in. A jogger who came running past the gate stopped and explained he didn't see the closure sign but he did see the police.
"Yeah they told me to get out so I'm heading out."
Police arrived at the Greenbelt shortly before noon. They went in and ordered people out. Despite that, more people arrived and some even walked in while I was doing a midday live report.
Several of those who were kicked out of the Greenbelt even brought their children around the closure sign. A woman who tried to get in with her kids provided a typical response
"I think I might just disregard the sign," she laughed and went on to say, "It looks like maybe it's closed to cars."
An old park hotline did cause some confusion. It had a recording that indicated all the parks were open. Shortly after noon the hotline was deactivated. Whether it was confusion about the hotline or an outright disregard of the closure order, throughout the afternoon people were seen in the Greenbelt playing in the rushing creek water.
The dangerous conditions out here on the Greenbelt have already cause one incident. Monday afternoon first responders were called out for a reported drowning . After suspending the search due to darkness, the AFD wilderness rescue team return Tuesday afternoon. They concentrated their efforts near Sculpture Falls, a popular location along the trail.
"Our search will be predominately a ground search along the shores using tools to get into storm debris," said AFD Capt. Josh Portie.
The man they were looking for was identified as 24 year-old Ceazar John “Cavelito” Kainz.
His friends returned to the Greenbelt hoping he would be found alive. They told investigators that Kainz stayed behind at the falls and when they went back to go get him he couldn't be found. A little before 3:00 search teams found a body near the location Kainz was last seen. The body was located about 100 yards from the falls in about 10 feet of water.
Authorities have located a body about 100 yards downstream of Sculpture Falls just before 3 P.M. on Tuesday.

The Austin Fire Department says it will rejoin the Austin Police Department and the Parks and Recreation Department to resume the search for a missing swimmer. The search for Caezar Kainz is expected to resume at 1 p.m.
Crews had ended their search for Kainz who disappeared while swimming in the Barton Creek Greenbelt.
Police say at about 5:30 p.m. on June 6 they responded to a missing person call at the Barton Creek Greenbelt where Caezar Kainz had gone swimming with friends. Kainz stayed behind and when friends went back to get him they didn't find him.
Kainz is a 24-year-old Hispanic male. He's described as 5'10' with short brown hair, thin build and no tattoos. He was last seen wearing a blue/green/white Speedo swimsuit.
AFD, EMS and STAR Flight searched until 7:30 p.m. without locating Kainz. Officials say there's not much more that can be done until the water starts to recede at Barton Creek.
