Barton Creek Greenbelt re-opens

The City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department announced Wednesday that the Barton Creek greenbelt has re-opened.

The Barton Creek Greenbelt was closed on Wednesday, June 01, 2016 due to unsafe conditions such as flooding, debris and erosion on the trails.

Trail conditions have improved to the point that residents will be able to enjoy the greenbelt again.  The Parks and Recreation Department does ask the public to stay “trail aware” and avoid any areas that look hazardous.
